Guess why I love VEGAS????

Well for those of you that haven't figured it out yet, I won lots of moolah. This picture was taken at Treasure Island hotel & Casino. I put a $20 in this machine, pulled the handle one time and WHAMO!!!! to the tune of about 4 G's. Couldn't believe it and still really don't. But hey somebodys got to win right??? Might as well have been me. For those of you that are curious, yes I brought it all home. Just had to leave Vegas with more than I went there with. No I didn't take that much with me, but I brought lots back. Anyhow just a very lucky guy and very happy to have won. Until next time. Todd Posted by Picasa

Alrighty!!!! Time to fire the whattajoke page back up

Let's hear it for the police departments that are using specially equipped cars to catch car thieves. I just watched a segment on the yahoo news page and it is actually quite entertaining. I guess these cars automatically notifiy police when they are stolen and cops can do all kinds of stuff (shut off ignition, lock doors, honk horn, turn on the radio) and they all have hidden cameras. Well Columbus, Ohio police actually got a mention on the segment and they show the hidden camera with a audio feed and it was kinda funny. They pulled up behind this car and the dispatch cut the ignition, locked the doors and turned on some music, well the music was the theme song from the show cops, you should go check it out it's kind of funny. Anyhow just thought it was time to post a little something over here and this really deserves a mention. Later Todd>>>>Click here for video

Very good news about our adoption

Please visit our adoption blog by going to the ChinaGirl link on the right or by going to www.chinagirl.blogspot.com

We should know something very soon. As soon as we know you will. Todd>>>>
That wasn't a fun day, yesterday. But I guess now I am over it, and have come to terms that there are just some things that I cannot control. I got upset when I looked at the Southwest airlines website just to find out that all the flights we wanted to go on for Las Vegas were being booked up like hotcakes. Well I came to the relization that what ever happens, happens. There is no use in getting upset about it.
LESSONS LEARNED:
1. Know what you are getting involved in before you get involved.
2. Pay attention. (Was told that they decided on a date for this trip at the beginning of the season). I had no idea that it was set in stone for the 21 - 24 of May.
3. Plan this more than 3 months in advance, most web sites allow booking trips 180 days in advance. That will give people plenty of time to change their minds.
4. Make sure the person planning the trip is actually going on the trip. Makes me think that if you are going, your going to care about how much it costs.
5. I understand that paying weekly makes it easy to disipline yourself to pay for your hotel and airfare, but now I wish I would have just put the money in the bank in a seperate account and just had the $13 a week transferred to it. Funny how $13 a week adds up.

Now I'm getting PISSED OFF!!!!

Alright now I know that some people have nothing to do with this Vegas trip that I am getting ready to go on, but my buddy and I are trying to just simply change the dates that we are going. Now here is the problem, nothing has been booked yet, we are trying to get our money back, but the guy in charge of booking our trip won't call me back. Now here is the problem, I may be going to China during the time frame that the group is going so I may not be able to go with them to begin with. Second, they picked the most expensive week in the month of May to goto Vegas, if we go the next week it will save us about $100 per person. Third, if we can get our money back, the flights are selling out like hot cakes for the cheap fare for the week Richard and I may be going, hence pissing me off, I'm just trying to get my ass to Las Vegas with my buddy and hoping to do it as cheap as possible. So here is what I believe our situation should be, either book the freaking trip so we are all going together, or give me my freaking money so Richard and I can book the trip the following week, month, year whatever it is just so we can book the trip. Lesson learned, never let someone who isn't going on the trip plan it for the group, now granted he may have originally been planning on going, he might of backed out. This has been the poorest planned event I have ever been involved with, they didn't even call a travel agent to find out what the cheapest week to go as a group was, instead 9 months before the trip they must have agreed that the 3rd week in May was it. Thanks for listening to me vent LATER>

Cirque du soleil DELIRIUM

You know what I am a huge fan of the Cirque du Soleil, but the three of us that spent $120 per seat for the show last night, were left well how do you say it exactly "disappointed". You don't pay $120 for a concert normally, well that is pretty much what we paid for. There was very little acrobatics that normally come with a show, and this was very disappointing. This has been the 4th show that Faye and I have been to see and what can you say other than we felt ripped off. I remember that the first show "Mystere" in Vegas was $85 per ticket, I about lost my mind that Faye would pay that, well I would have spent $120. Now want to talk about worth the money, well for $85 you got a show and a concert. Just not what we are used to, didn't much care for it and we all wish we still had our $120 in our pockets. The performance was good, and I would have felt much more satisfied if I had only paid $40 per ticket. Shame on the Cirque du soleil for over-inflating their prices. SHAME SHAME SHAME. I understand that it takes a lot of money to put on a production, but come on $120 per person, what a rip off. We should have all demanded a refund.

Woo Hoo another 15 die in cartoon protest!!!!

Keep going idiots and eventually you will kill yourselves off. (I hope) you keep trying to get your message across, I figure 10-15 a day @ 365 days we will eventually be rid of all your religious politics. I'm truly not celebrating, I just find it funny that after 3 weeks you have nothing better to do. Why don't you go out and help an old lady cross the street somewhere??? Instead you go and trample one another, then throw rocks and burn shit. I'm just truthfully tired of hearing about how you have been offended. You say we are pushing our beliefs on you, well what do you call this? You pushing your beliefs on us. All religion seems to do is cause problems anymore, call it the devils tongue if you must, but all that I see coming out of religion anymore is chaos. Every different religion seems to think they are right, well go to you little building that you believe makes you better and celebrate your religion and leave the rest of us alone. I AM TIRED OF IT. Your a bunch of hippocrates. Religion doesn't tell you to go out and kill people, it doesn't tell you to tear stuff up, it teaches tolerance and faith. GET IT!!!!!

Friday, February 17, 2006

Let's hear it for the IDIOTS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

What a bunch of freaking IDIOTS, these people rioting over a freaking cartoon. Your a bunch of retards and you wonder why the world hates you. All this does is give you morons a good reason to go out and tear shit up. This has been going on for what? Three weeks now? You've made your point, now get over it and move on. Another 10 people were killed today, how many more have to die until YOU MONSTERS are happy? All you have now done is shown what uneducated monsters you all really are. I for one am tired of your religious politics, you ever notice that people won't talk about religion or politics, well you have all combined them into one thing. We are tired of them, this didn't happen in your country, people are tired of hearing about your icon and how there was a cartoon drawn. WHIPdee DO. Let's go out and kill our own people, and burn a bunch of shit up, you kind of remind me of those morons that tore their neighborhood up in LA years ago.

Another SHITTY work week down the drain

What a crappy work week, we were extremely slow, didn't have much to do except look busy. Don't care if we have a slow day every now and then but 4 straight 12 hour shifts of NOTHING. Very little work trickled in during the past 4 nights which makes me worry, beings we are in contract bargaining right now. Makes me wonder how much the company has to do with this huge slow down. I haven't seen it this slow in the 5 years I have worked there. Anyway the week sucked the big one and I am looking forward to the weekend. Just hope everything picks up next week. HERES TO WEEKENDS.

Just for FUN!!!!

A Kindergarten teacher was observing her classroom of children while they were drawing. She would occasionally walk around to see each child's work. As she got to one little girl who was working diligently, she asked what the drawing was. The girl replied, "I'm drawing God." The teacher paused and said, "But no one knows what God looks like." Without missing a beat, or looking up from her drawing, the girl: replied, "They will in a minute."

The grass isn't always greener..................

I will never pretend to know what it is like to live in your shoes, but I can tell you for a fact that the grass isn't always greener on the other side. Look before you leap that is truly all I can say. Take your time and think before you act, things may be just fine. Just think "how much greener is it really". NOT MUCH.

Wanna know why it's been so quiet?

Well I just finished a marathon at work of 161 1/2 hours at work in the past 14 days (thats right folks, that is 81 1/2 hours overtime). It was a little test for myself number one to see if I could do it, second thing is I need some extra spending cash for my trip to Las Vegas which I don't think I will get to go on. Not trying to sound too disappointed but my chances at going are fading fast. We will be going to China hopefully in the next 3-4 months and that is going to land me right in the middle of my trip to Las Vegas. Sorry I know it doesn't sound right, but the wait for China has been unbearable, so the only thing I could do is keep planning my life and when China popped up we would go, well who would have thought that the two would run together. I didn't and now I am over half way paid for the trip to Las Vegas and I have no idea what to do. Do I just back out and disappoint my friend, or do I just keep trucking along paying $13 a week and see what happens? If I quit paying now I think I lose all that money, so I don't know what to do. Will someone please pull out your crystal ball and tell me what to do, I teeter back in forth almost hourly "Just keep paying" no "pull out why you can" WHO KNOWS????????? Anyway I have been keeping busy with work, trying to scratch up a little extra and trying to gets some bills payed off. Just trying to keep myself busy in hopes that everything with this adoption comes together, no matter how disappointed I sound about Vegas, this adopition is my number one priority no matter if I lose all the money I put into the trip. I cannot wait for the day we meet our daughter, nothing can replace that.

What is the DEAL???

What is going on that all of a sudden everyone feels that their lives are so private that they have to password protect their blogs? Has it gotten that bad that you only want a select few viewing your blog? I don't understand, two of my favorite bloggers have all of a sudden password protected their blogs and I really don't understand why. Maybe there is something going on that I haven't heard about yet, but as far as I could tell they were doing a really good job as to not revel their true identity. Who knows. I don't put anything that I don't want people knowing about me on the internet, it's just a place to tell stories and vent every once in a while. Just a bunch of questions and no answers. ????????

The wife says that I am OBSESSED with LAS VEGAS

obsess, obsesses, obsessed, obsessing
1. To occupy someone's thoughts or mind completely, persistently or constantly; to preoccupy or haunt.
Example: She is obsessed by football
Thesaurus: consume, possess, grip, dominate, plague, engross, preoccupy, torment, haunt, nag.(chiefly N Amer)intr2. To think or worry constantly about something.

I thought I would add the definition for a touch of added flare, like it??? Anyhow the wifey here lately has be telling me that I am OBSESSED with going to LAS VEGAS. Well I do find that interesting that she shops like an alcoholic drinks and I don't tell her that she is OBSESSED. I enjoy going to LAS VEGAS and we (My buddy Richard and I) are getting ready to go here in the next couple of months and I just wanted to make sure that I have the spending cash to ensure that I have a good time. Well Faye finds that obsessive and she finds it absolutly ubsurd that I want to take the amount of money that I am planning on taking. I have intentions of taking about $800 - $1000 with me for 4 days in LAS VEGAS and that is for everything, going out, eating, drinking, gambling. I really don't think that this is that bad considering. Just because I talk about going there every once in a while I am obsessed, but the fact that she goes out every weekend and shops is normal behavior.
Now don't get me wrong I do find myself bringing Vegas up quite often, that is because I am excited to go, I find Vegas exciting. I have been to LAS VEGAS twice in my 30 + years on this earth. Now guess who has been to LAS VEGAS more than I have in her 30 + years, you guessed it FAYE!!!! Now who is really obsessed, just because she goes to LAS VEGAS to party, I am the one with the problem, well she gambles too and eats at some of the best resturants which can be just as expensive. We ate at Emeril's at the MGM Grand for lunch one day and paid $80 plus tip for LUNCH, now you want to talk about a waste of money, I would have almost rather flushed it down the toilet, the meal wasn't that good and she agreed. Just trying to figure out who is more obsessed me or her. It could be worse I could be going to LAS VEGAS two or three times a year or going to the gamling establishments that aren't to far away from here. Obsessed I think NOT!!!!.

What in the hell is wrong with MEXICO???

All of a sudden these people want rights, what rights do we have in their country???? They want work rights in this country, well I'll tell you what as soon as every American has a job, then you can come and have what is left. Mister Vincent Fox states that Mexican's do all the jobs blacks won't. Well you know what, weather your black or white until every AMERICAN has a job then you can keep on your side of the line. Sorry things are so bad down there, it's not our fault. The Mexican government also want everyone that has been living here illegally to instantly become AMERICAN citizens, well that is bullshit, should we just give everyone a free pass or just the mexicans. How about we just take down the borders and we extend the United States into Mexico, I'll bet the Mexican population would really appreciate that now wouldn't they. The borders are there to protect our borders and keep those who shouldn't be here out. If you want to live in the United States do it legally, just because your to freaking lazy to do the right thing doesn't me we have to just forgive you for climbing a fence. This doesn't just go for Mexico, this goes for all countries, it's time to close the gates for a while, get ourselves settled in a bit and come up with a fair (and legal) way to do things. Stop sending us your garbage. Patrol your own borders.

Now just hold on now everyone!!!!!

As soon as I find the time to post, I've recently ran into a bunch of things to talk about, so I'm going to try and get them down I just have to find the time. I have been working 12 hour days for the past 6 months and there isn't a lot of time to do this and work on the house.
1. Maurice Clarett (What is this guy thinking)
2. The Miners in West Virginia (RIP)
3. The Buckeyes beating Notre Dame, Texas beating USC (What great games they were.)
These are just some of the things I want to touch on when I have time until then you will just have to settle for this.

Here is to the end of 2005!!!!!

Ho Hum where to start: You know I think 2005 will go down in history as one of the biggest drags of all time. Let's see where to start, we didn't get our baby yet, that was going to be the biggest highlight of 2005 by far, but it isn't going to happen. I lost contact with pretty much all my friends from high school except for Richard and Kim and naturally my brother Scot. Have no idea what happened but life goes on I guess. Job some days seems to be going no where but down hill, hopefully that will turn around in 2006. Hopefully everything will turn around in 2006, we will be traveling soon to China to adopt our first baby, I will hopefully get to go to Las Vegas with my buddy Richard and who knows maybe win a little moolah. I think my father in law is going to come down to Columbus and help me put a new deck on my house, that should be exciting. We have lived here for 5 years now and we have wanted a new deck since we bought the house. Don't know what else to say other than hello 2006, 2005 SUCKED. I hate to be like this but I don't know of anything really good that came out of 2005, so let me put 2005 behind me and start looking forward to 2006. HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYONE, SEE YOU NEXT YEAR..............

New Bathroom

Well here are some photos of the old vs. new bathroom, we put a new liner over the old tub, new walls, new floor, the vanity is only about 2 years old, new trim and the same old crapper (works like a charm). It will hopefully be a long time before anything is needed in this bathroom. Faye is very happy with the end result, and we all know if Faye is happy, I am happy.

Merry Christmas everyone

This has got to be the most less is more Christmas EVER! Faye and I aren't into the Christmas season at all this year. That doesn't mean we don't care, it's just a matter of no tree, no gift exchange (with each other) or anything other than some lights on the house and a really cool 8 foot snowman in the front yard. We or should I say "I" really wasn't in the mood to go down and dig out 20 boxes of Christmas decorations and haul them upstairs just to turn around 3 weeks later to haul them all back down stairs. I was looking forward to preparing for our trip to China to adopt our baby, well santa decided that we couldn't go until early next year. We are still exchaging gifts with family and friends, we just got our bathroom re-done and we decided that was Christmas enough for the both of us. Hell I don't even think that we are sending out Christmas cards this year due to our hectic schedules. Who knows what is going on all I know is that I can't wait until it warms up and we can get back to summer in the great outdoors. So I just wanted to write a little blog wishing everyone a Merry Christmas and we hope everyone has a safe and exciting NEW YEAR. See everyone soon hopefully.

Man killed after making bomb threat at airport

http://news.yahoo.com/fc/business/aviation_security
Well you know what it is about freaking time that the air marshalls got to do what they get paid for. This will maybe show the rest of the world that this is what happens when you threaten airline security. People think it is funny to test the system, well this guy tested the wrong one. I think somewhere in the article it mentions he was mentally ill, well now he is dead. The person travelling with this guy should have notified the airlines before attempting to board the aircraft and maybe this could have been avoided, who knows. Any how I feel this person got exactly what they deserved and shows you threaten airline security, you just may pay the ultimate price.

I couldn't agree more ANDY.

I'm surprised CBS let him get away with this, even though many of us think he's 100% right.
AMEN, ANDY ROONEY !
Andy Rooney ! said on "60 Minutes" a few weeks back: I don't think being a minority makes you a victim of anything except numbers. The only things I can think of that are truly discriminatory are things like the United Negro College Fund, Jet Magazine, Black Entertainment Television, and Miss Black America. Try to have things like the UnitedCaucasianCollege Fund, Cloud Magazine, White Entertainment Television, or Miss White America; and see what happens...Jesse Jackson will be knocking down your door. Guns do not make you a killer. I think killing makes you a killer. You can kill someone with a baseball bat or a car, but no one is trying to ban you from driving to the ball ga! me. I believe they are called the Boy Scouts for a reason, that is why there are no girls allowed. Girls belong in the Girl Scouts! ARE YOU LISTENING MARTHA BURKE? I think that if you feel homosexuality is wrong, it is not a phobia, it is an opinion. I have the right "NOT" to be tolerant of others because they are different, weird, or tick me off. When 70% of the people who get arrested are black, in cities where 70% of the population is black, that is not racial profiling, it is the Law of Probability. I believe that if you are selling me a milkshake, a pack of cigarettes, a newspaper or a hotel room, you must do it in English! As a matter of fact, if you want to be an American citizen, you should have to speak English! My father and grandfather didn't die in vain so you can leave the countries you were born in to come over and disrespect ours. I think the police should have every right to shoot your sorry a_ _(bottom) if you threaten them, after they tell you to stop. If you can't understand the word "freeze" or "stop" in English, see the above lines. I don't think just because you were not born in this country, you are qualified for any special loan programs, government sponsored bank loans or tax breaks, etc., so you can open a hotel, coffee shop, trinket store, or any other business. We did not go to the aid of certain foreign countries and risk our lives in wars to defend their freedoms, so that decades later they could come over here and tell us our constitution is a living document, and open to their interpretations. I don't hate the rich. I don't pity the poor. I know pro wrestling is fake, but so are movies and television. That doesn't stop you from watching them. I think Bill Gates has every right to keep every penny he made, and continue to make more. If it ticks you off, go and invent the next operating system that's better, and put your name on the building. It doesn't take a whole village to raise a child right, but it does take a parent to stand up to the kid; and smack their little behinds when necessary, and say "NO!" I think tattoos and piercing are fine if you want them, but please don't pretend they are a political statement. And, please, stay home until that new lip ring heals. I don't want to look at your ugly infected mouth as you serve me French fries! I am sick of "Political Correctness." I know a lot of black people, and not a single one of them was born in Africa; so how can they be "African-Americans"? Besides, Africa is a continent. I don't go around saying I am a European-American because my great, great, great, great, great, great grandfather was from Europe. I am proud to be from America and nowhere else. And if you don't like my point of view, tough... DON'T PASS IT ON...

YEAH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Let's hear it for our Government

Geeeeeez what a surprise, just when the government needs us to go and start pumping billions into the american economy for Christmas season, what happens? Gas prices fall to less than $2 a gallon here in central Ohio. You know the older I get the less sense the government is making to me. Do they think we aren't noticing or do we just not care? As soon as Christmas is over (By the way am I allowed to say Christmas or am I offending anyone because of your religion?) gas prices will skyrocket again and it will be because of our harsh winter. Gas prices shouldn't change more than once a week, what price you see on the board Sunday is the same price you should see the following Saturday. ONCE A WEEK GAS PRICES just so you don't feel like your getting screwed every other day when you fill up for $2.50 and the next day it's $2.08.

Ahhhhhhhhh what a great feeling to be up at 5:30am

Here it is once again I am up way before I should be. This is 2 weekends in a row I have been up before 6am on a sunday. Remind you that I work 3rd shift, and I shouldn't be getting up on the weekend before 10 or 11am. Well I figure I'm up so this is the perfect time to catch up on some writing. First off GO BUCKEYES, what a great game yesterday 25-21. That is truly one of the best football games I remember in some time. The Bucks like usual left us all in suspense until the very end. Congratulations to Faye for winning a $100 (she won 2 quarters @ $50 a quarter) in the football pool I had going at work. To my buddy Ryan down south, HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA GO BUCKS MICHIGAN SUCKS.

Thanks to our friends Richard and Kim for coming up with a really nice day bed for my parents to have. I didn't in a million years expect for Richard to come up with something so nice. My parents and I really appreciate it.

Anyone wanting to know how the adoption of Alexandria Grace is going will be upset to learn that our referral has been pushed back as far as we know right at this moment, about 2 months. With any luck at all we think we will have our referral by Jan. 2006. This is a little frustrating for Faye and I, but what can you do? We are completely at the mercy of other people and we understand the ups and downs of getting to the referral stage of our adoption. We were really hoping to have our baby by Jan. 2006, now it is looking more like the March/April time frame. Who knows but I will keep you all updated as we get the information.

Friday, November 18, 2005

I know, I know

All my one maybe two die hard readers are wondering where I am? Well I will be hopefully posting again here soon, been busy. Sorry. Have lots to talk about, just need the time to write it down. How about these clowns that are suing the Government about removing "In god we trust" off of our currency. Are these people freaking kidding me? Well that will have to be another time but I really want to address that.

Ricky Craven WINS at Martinsville

WTG Ricky Craven, it's been a while but knew you could do it. Was starting to get worried that you had maybe lost what it takes to win, but you have once again shown that you still have that burning desire to win. WooooHooooo GO RICKY!

Fall has unfortunatly arrived

Hopefully this worked, having a rough time loading photos for some unknown reason. Well anyhow this is the first day of my 2, yes I said 2 week vacation away from what is beginning to become known as HELL. Ahhhhh! 2 weeks away from work what a great feeling. I took this photo last year and I still love it, it's one of those photos that belong on a post card or in a book, or hey maybe even on a calandar. I just figured I would sit down and do a small blog in hopes that this one actually show up on my blog. Fall is also a sign that Faye and I are getting closer to receiving our referral for our adoption, we should hear some thing hopefully in the next 30 to 40 days.

I'm BACK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Well lets put it this way, I'm not broke and I'm not rich. Had a really good time in Las Vegas, got to see a wedding, got to see the rest of the Strip - plus Fremont Street. Never really lost a lot of money or made a lot for that matter, overall I lost about $300 smacks, but that includes buying stuff, a little bit of eating and a little bit of drinking, I have no clue what Faye lost or made, she thinks she broke about even. (Faye does'nt care to gamble so she sticks to the nickle slots.) Anyway didn't have a whole lot of luck with the blackjack tables, I know I broke about even there, we play a little roulette and Faye won a little there. So that leaves the one arm bandits, well we actually did better than we thought, we came home with money.

We also went to a couple of shows while we were there, we saw the Folies Berege which is a old style topless vegas girls show, which had singing and dancing, we also saw Zumanity which is another Cirque De Soleil show going on in Las Vegas, this is an adult oriented showing and you must be 18 to enter. This show isn't like Mystere, which was for families. I have yet to be disappointed in a Cirque De soleil show, this was my third show.

We also got to see a Vegas wedding, Fayes' aunt Micky got married to Joe while we were out there, what a great time that was, it happened early Saturday morning at the Best little Wedding Chapel in the West. Quite the experience, didn't know what to expect but I thought it was really nice, and Faye and I were questioning why we didn't do that. Tons of people get married in Vegas, the wedding chapel where Joe and Micky got married performs about 150 weddings a week. There are probably about 50 wedding chapels, lots of money being made.

Well I get to look forward to my next trip to Las Vegas which should be in May 2006. I will be saving from now until then so I can have a good time like this one. Viva Las Vegas Baby

Bowling: hmmmmmmmm

Well I tried it again this past Sunday, well let's put it this way I made my average EVERY GAME. Not too hard since I am only averaging 108. You know what I have decided you have to start somewhere and unfortunatly 108 is it. Next week my average will be 115 so obiviously I did a little better than my first week. Keep hoping it will all come together and I will start shooting some descent games, but as long as I keep missing the 5 pin (missed it twice Sunday, don't worry Kim, Richard was right there to pick up where you left off) that will not happen. All I can say is it can't get much worse, I've probably just jinxed myself. Until next week.........................

Can't you see your child asking this QUESTION?

You know this has to be one of the funniest cartoons I have ever seen. I really could see someones kid saying this right in the middle of a family get together. I laugh everytime I read it, I know it has been around for a while, but I still think it is extremely funny.

FEMA director's qualifications questioned

You know what this goes to show in Government "it's not who you know but who you........." This Mike Brown guy has been collecting a check and isn't even qualified to do the job. There seems to be alot of this going around lately, this guy knows someone, who knows someone, who knows someone. I don't know who is officially responsible for hiring this guy, but who ever it is should lose their job also. If it is the President then this is just another attempt for him to line his FRIENDS up well paying jobs and just another attempt to screw the american people. I see the government has once again hired Halliburton to do some of the major repairs down in the gulf coast region. Doesn't Dick Cheney have something to do with Halliburton? Why don't we just give this guy 50 billion dollars and let him retire? This continues to be the good ol' boy network, you scratch my back, I'll scratch yours. Get someone to head FEMA that knows what the hell is going on and can get the job done, instead you get the President of the United States on television telling this guy "what a great job you doing" when he should be firing this guy.

I work with a bunch of guys that continue to hire their buddies, the leader of the bunch has no clue what he is doing and he continues to bring in his friends that have no clue what they are doing. This just shows that it is everywhere just not in government. No one will be happy until we are all out of jobs.

Getting ready for VEGAS

Just getting excited and really hoping we have tons of fun, because you know thats what it is all about. But as you may have read earlier I will be going back in May 2006 with my buddy Richard and anyone else that cares to go that has the money.

Went to Hoover Dam today, yes the one in Ohio. What a great day and a nice little breeze was blowing. The only problem was the water was a little stinky. Had this weird sulfur smell to it, Faye thought it smelled a little like perm solution. We decided it would be a nice little day to take the dog for a walk, which I am sure damn near killed him and I will feel sorry for him tomorrow. Posted by Picasa

GO BUCKS!

Well it is offically that time of year again and you know what I am actually looking forward to the Ohio State Buckeyes football season. I fully expect the Buckeyes to kick Miami's (OH) ass, and I believe they will do very well this season with only 1 or 2 close games. Good Luck Buckeyes and heres to another championship season.

Ricky Craven leaving Roush racing at end of 2005

Why is it my guy in NASCAR can't seem to get a break, Ricky Craven announce this past week that he will not be driving the #99 Superchips Ford in the 2006 Nascar Craftsman Truck Series. How is it a guy that has won a couple of Winston Cup races can't keep a ride, but these guys that have never won a race keep rides??? I hope Ricky announced his departure from Roush racing due to finding a cup ride. Any how good luck the rest of the season and I hope to see the #99 in victory lane. Posted by Picasa

SAY CHEESE!!!!!!!!!!!!

Gotta love some of these photos I take, this is my brother in law Scott, I can't help but laugh everytime I see this photo. Just figured I would post it so you could get a laugh too> Posted by Picasa

Ever wonder why no one tries to illegally cross the border into Mexico??? Now granted this was a couple of years ago, but I was looking at the photo and wondering why there isn't a long line of traffic trying to get into Mexico. Why isn't there thousands of people trying to enter Mexico??? Posted by Picasa

Hurricane KATRINA

What the hell is wrong with those people down there in New Orleans???? I am speaking specifically about the ones at the superdome, are these people animals or what? Trampling over each other to get on buses, shooting at people, looting, raping, killing. Now don't get me wrong I understand their frustration, no food or water, the heat, no where to go to the bathroom. Does that mean you have to carry on like a bunch of freaking animals, what does that help? People are scared, hungry, and tired just like you, but what can you do? Now I understand the governments response has been poor, but how do you expect the people that are there to help, to help when people are fighting, rioting, killing whatever it is that these people are doing. I can tell you now I wouldn't go in there with people acting the way that they are acting. Get organized, come together and help one another out, these young people trampling others to get on these buses, you are a bunch of uneducated cowards, there were others that needed help way more than you. The looting is fine as far as I am concerned for food, water and clothing, but the TV's, electronics (great question what did these people do with this stuff, there isn't any electric is there??) I really loved the people on TV dragging that big screen TV through the water, you are a bunch of freaking Ensteins aren't you. I can see them now "Hey Albert, let's get this big screen and take it home and set it in our living room with 8 feet of water in it. " IDIOTS. Boy I bet that picture is going to look really good after dragging that TV through all that water. I see that the people of New Orleans haven't changed a whole lot since I was down there about 7 years ago, a bunch of uneducated low income trash still exists. They were thieves then and I see they are still a bunch of thieves now, if it isn't bolted down they will steal it.

At the chance of sounding like a raciast (which I am not), why is it always black people carrying on like this, it is almost always the black folks that tear shit up when things go wrong. Cincinnati, Ohio a young black male is shot and what does the black community do? They tear the city up. The cops that beat the shit out of Rodney King get let off and what does the black community do? They tear the city up. Hurricane Katrina comes and destroys half a city and what does the black community do? They tear what is left of the city up. But yet these same people wonder why they are always treated differently and never given a chance. You act like a bunch of freaking animals, tearing shit up helps nothing, this actually takes more time and money to fix up. Kanye West last night stated that the President doesn't like black people, my question to Mr. West is do you like seeing what the black community is doing down there in New Orleans? I don't and the way people are acting I don't really care for them either. There are plenty of people sitting down there waiting patiently, it's pretty sad when police have to stop rescue efforts in order to stop the looting and gang violence.

On a lighter note, I hope everyone down there that needs help gets it soon, you are well over due. I think if the demographics were a little different help would have been there already. People need food and water, dry clothes to keep comfortable and dry, other than that everyone can survive. Be smart stay out of the water, I believe more people will die from disease than the storm itself.

Well Itried to bowl last night

But we all knew it would happen, I once again walked into the bowling alley and had no idea how to bowl. Let's see my first game was a 75, yes thats right I said 75. At least I knew I couldn't do much worse so the next two games I actually broke 100. This is very distrubing for me since it wasn't all that long ago I averaged in the 160's and had an occasional 200 game. Well all I can hope for is that it gets better in the coming weeks as I seek to improve my whopping 108 average and get it at least up into the 140's. The best part of my big whopping 108 average is the handicap that I will be carrying for my team, since my brother Scot will be averaging 240 somthing, Kim will be right about 200, and Richard will be up in about the 180's. Boy if that doesn't make you feel good I don't know what will. Oh well there is always next week, maybe it will all come together (yeah right).

OH YEAH BABY!!!!!! LOOK WHO'S GOING TO LAS VEGAS

Guess who's going to Las Vegas??? Todd and Richard are, that's who. Tenative date is May 2006 I think around the second week. Richard and I are bowling in a league that after the season everyone that wants to go to Las Vegas goes. Thanks to Kim and Faye for allowing Richard and I to pay the extra $13.00 a week so we can go to Las Vegas and have a really good time. Don't know where we are staying and won't know until Dec./Jan. time frame. Now comes the time for saving some extra moolah so we have money to gamble and eat once we get out there. I figure it's 4 days and you have to have at least $150 a day to eat and gamble if you want to gamble. Believe me there are plenty of other things to do other than gamble, so if you don't want to gamble plan on a little less, I like to gamble so that is what I am planning on taking. Any of the other FELLAS wanting to go let me or Richard know, you will have to book your own trip but it shouldn't be that much since we are going through the week. This will be a really good time. LOOKIE!!!!!

With a new baby on the way what better thing to buy than a new car for us to haul her around in? No, seriously Fayes car wasn't that convienent for a child, getting a car seat in and out, hauling a stroller, play pen what ever. This is very practical. Faye didn't feel she was a minivan momma so we decided to go with a mid sized sport utility. I wouldn't mind the minivan but this is the vehicle she has to drive for the next ???? years. WOW IT IS HOT OUTSIDE

Columbus, Ohio 7/25/2005 @ 12:47 pm the current temparture is 92 degrees with a heat index of 107 degrees according to the weather channel. Now I understand that it isn't the 115 degrees that Phoenix had but let me remind you that this is Columbus, Ohio. Now lets hopefully sum this up by letting all of my loyal readers know that according to the weather channel it will be approx. 77 degrees Wednesday. Come on Wednesday we need a little relief, I don't think I have shut my A/C off for about a month now. I really wish I had a pool.

Since I'm on the movie subject

I rented Million dollar baby (Clint Eastwood, Hilary Swank, Morgan Freeman) what a great start and middle, but what a terrible ending, this movie should have won the award for most depressing movie ever. This movie had such potential and then phooy. I can't believe I didn't turn the movie off, but I was hoping for the seas to part and everything be all better, but no it got even worse. This was suppose to be a inspirational movie, what the hell is so inspiring??? Needless to say I felt like killing myself after this movie was over, still can't believe the ending, they should remake this movie and do it up like ROCKY. 5 stars for the first hour, no stars for the last 45 minutes. GOD WHAT A TERRIBLE ENDING.

Yet another fine WASTE of money

This past weekend I went and wasted hmmmmmmmmmmm.. let's see $8.50 and two hours watching War of the Worlds starring Tom Cruise, what a waste of time and money. Other than the special effects this movie sucked. The story line was predictible, lots of things were left unexplained. Just terrible. I read some of the reviews and wonder what in the hell people are thinking. I know opinions vary but damn I want someone to explain to me the following:

1. What in the hell was all the veiny stuff that the machines were shooting out? Please don't tell me it was blood, I know that. Why did it turn to veins?
2. Why exactly is it we didn't notice these machines buried after all these years?
3. What exactly was the purpose of them hiding these machines? So they could come back a million years later just to fire them up and kill us all?
4 Is Tom Cruise the only person smart enough to figure out replacing the solenoid in cars will make them run, couldn't anyone else figure this out?
5. Why exactly were the machines dying???? For the life of me I cannot figure out why the machines were dying, was it because they killed a billion people and there weren't a billion left. Someone please help me

Having a few @ the Elevator

Joe, Micky, Heidi, Faye @ a little place in downtown Columbus. We are all at a restaurant called the Elevator which is located downtown @ High St. and Long, it was the first time there for Joe, Micky and Heidi, they seemed to really like the home brew (they make their own) that they serve. The bartender on the right (Rita) was great, she even threw in some free elevator pint glasses which was great especially for our guests. Any how I just wanted to give this little joint a plug, if you are looking for something different this is it. Posted by Picasa

COWARDS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This goes out to all of those that were involved in the bombing that took place in London, England last week. You are nothing but a bunch of cowards, if you want to do something about what is happening in your country, go back there and do something about it. You know what I don't agree with everything that your government is doing but you don't see me coming over to your country and blowing up your friends and loved ones. Killing innocent people just trying to make a living in this world isn't the answer. The war is being fought in your country not mine. How much longer are people going to tolerate muslim people living in their countries before the true hate crimes begin??? I wonder if my neighbors are terroists and to tell you the honest truth I wish they would move back to where ever in the hell they came from. If you don't like it here get the hell out. I don't want you here and I don't want to live in your country either. As far as I am concerned you are all terrorist and I want you to leave.

Now doesn't Faye make me look good in these photos

Faye and I got all gussied up this past weekend and went to Faye's cousin's wedding. Congratulations Nicole and Chris. Posted by Picasa

SAN FRANCISCO, California (AP) -- The mother of a 12-year-old boy killed in his own home by one of the family's two pit bulls says she had been so concerned about one of the dogs that she shut her son in the basement to protect him. This was a headline on cnn.com

All right now what is the problem here???? Well maybe this wacko should have locked the dog in the basement. People are idiots, this lady was so afraid of this dog that she went to the store and locked her son in the basement. Next why didn't she just take him to the store???? I have had friend that have had pit bulls and know that they are pretty friendly for the most part but boy when they get aggresive they get aggresive. I personally think this boy was probably dead before she even went to the store. I think she just used this as an excuse. You shouldn't be allowed to own a pit bull and have kids SORRY>
